Course Overview
This course explores key aspects of the social, economic, and political development of the United States from precontact to the present. Students will examine the contributions of groups and individuals to the country’s evolution and will explore the historical context of key issues, trends, and events that have had an impact on the United States, its identity and culture, and its role in the global community. Students will extend their ability to apply the concepts of historical thinking and the historical inquiry process, including the interpretation and analysis of evidence, when investigating various forces that helped shape American history

UNIT ONE
The United States, Precontact to 1791

This unit aims to equip the students with the correct knowledge of the origins of American lands and native Americans. The unit will tell the students how the USA came into being.

UNIT TWO
The United States, 1791 – 1877

Students in this unit will analyse the US and its development technologically, socially, economically, etc. during the given period.

UNIT THREE
The United States, 1877 – 1945

The purpose of this unit is to allow the students to understand and get more familiar with how different factors impacted the US and how many prominent leaders worked for the betterment.

UNIT FOUR
The United States Since 1945

This unit focuses on the US evolving dramatically to become what it is today. The unit will teach students how nations work hard, hand in hand in order to encounter danger and hover towards success.
