Course Overview
This course enables students to extend their knowledge of functions. Students will investigate and apply properties of polynomial, exponential, and trigonometric functions; continue to represent functions numerically, graphically, and algebraically; develop facility in simplifying expressions and solving equations; and solve problems that address applications of algebra, trigonometry, vectors, and geometry. Students will reason mathematically and communicate their thinking as they solve multi-step problems. This course prepares students for a variety of college technology programs.
UNIT ONE
Exponential Functions
This unit will equip students and get them familiar with the foundations of Exponential Functions and will help them develop a deeper understanding of the topics relating to it.
UNIT TWO
Polynomial Functions
This unit will enable the students to develop a deeper understanding with Polynomial Functions by teaching them topics that will consolidate as well as increase the knowledge of students based on prerequisites.
UNIT THREE
Trigonometric Functions
This unit focuses on trigonometry primarily focusing on the foundational topics being greatly taught as well as the sine and cosine ratios. Students will be able to use the methods within trigonometry to solve trigonometric problems.
UNIT FOUR
Applications of Geometry
In this unit, students will gain in-depth knowledge of the foundational topics of geometry. The topics covered in this unit are an essential tool for steadfast progression in geometry and it’s applications.
