Course Overview
This course introduces students to computer science. Students will design software independently and as part of a team, using industry-standard programming tools and applying the software development life-cycle model. They will also write and use subprograms within computer programs. Students will develop creative solutions for various types of problems as their understanding of the computing environment grows. They will also explore environmental and ergonomic issues, emerging research in com- puter science, and global career trends in computer-related fields.

UNIT ONE
Basic Programming Concepts.

In this unit, students will discover the meaning and get a decent introduction to computer studies. This unit will allow the students to grasp some knowledge and understand the terminology of computer studies by teaching them some basic concepts.

UNIT TWO
Computer Environments & Systems

In this unit, students will get familiar with computer environments and systems.

UNIT THREE
Software Development

Software development is essential for the students to know as this plays an integral part in practical computer sciences. In this unit, students will get sufficient knowledge to understand what are softwares and how to develop them.

UNIT FOUR
Topics in Computer Science

This unit will gear up the students for further computer studies by teaching them concepts related to computer science.
